WASD - could use more customization for aiming with movement skills

While it’s nice that you have different options for movement skills when using WASD, more customization would be appreciated. It would be great to be able to individually select for each skill whether it follows direction or mouse.

Shadow Rend is a great example, because it acts a lot like an attack, it is better to target with mouse for better accuracy. However, you can’t do that without also changing Evade to mouse, which feels unintuitive (especially for ranged attackers). Something you may have overlooked is that shadow rush makes it a long-range movement ability, yet the setting “Short-range follows movement” still applies to it. So a short-term fix would be to designate it as Long Range when it is like this.

I 100% agree with this. Last time I played a spellblade, I had the same frustrations with surge. I would have liked to have the accuracy to choose the direction to surge, but that would mean changing the dodge’s direction. It was tolerable back then because generally, I wanted to surge in the direction I was moving, but using Shadow Rend on a bow feels awful without the mouses pinpoint accuracy ands having to move toward your enemy to properly aim it. Currently, I’ve sucked it up and understood that sometimes I will be dodging straight into a pack of mobs.

Exactly, shadow rend with a bow feels awful on directional movement. I’m using it with a bow, too.
