I know how hard it is to provide useful information on “why the player died” but after some experimentation in Early-Access we seem to have settled on a slightly useless “This monster killed you with this spell”
That’s useless on many levels - I don’t really need to know which monster it was and the name of the spell doesn’t tell me a huge amount (unless I go look it up perhaps)
I’m sure it used-to show the most prevalent damage types - which was better - and maybe even showed multiple recent hits??
I’m a BIT disappointed here - I thought we might have a developer who understood how players play the game - not one who just hides everything under the covers and hopes we don’t notice…
Did I imagine this being better - would other people LIKE it to be better - do people realise that the “killing blow” isn’t helpful information etc. etc.
