Warpath movement speed

Trying to understand the math of Warpath tag that says

“You have 20% movement speed while spinning (multiplicative with other modifiers)”

When i have no boots equipped i am on 10% MS (VK Dread passive) and when i use Warpath this goes to -4% MS. So i can’t figure the math of -20% multiplicative goes from 10% to -4% ?

When i have Darkstride equipped i am on 54% MS (10% passive + 17% boots + 27% (136 melee void / 5) and when i use Warpath this goes to 31% MS. So i can’t figure the math of -20% multiplicative goes from 54% to 31% either ?

Anyone know the answer ?

Someone explained me but, shame on me, I forgot. I think it was @Llama8 but I’m not totally sure.

Warpath movementspeed penalty is multiplicative, (it’s less).

The numbers you provided don’t line up though.

Do you have any other movementspeed increases from the skill spec tree for example?

With your numbers it would be

(1,00 + 0,1) * 0,8 = 0,88 / -12% MS

For the Darkstride Example it would be

(1,00 + 0,10 + 0,17 + 0,27) * 0,8 = 1,232 / 23,2% MS

EDIT: I run the numbers with some extra stuff from the Warpath Skill Spec Tree.

You most likely have 1/3 in Quicksilverwind, which gives 10% increased movementspeed.

With that your numbers would line up:
(1,00 + 0,1 + 0,1) * 0,8 = 0,96 / - 4% MS
And
(1,00 + 0,1 + 0,1 + 0,17 + 0,27) * 0,8 = 1,312 / 31% MS

thanks @Heavy i had forgotten about Quicksilverwind. So generically MS = ( 1+sum(x’s) )*y - 1
