I running the last epoch on a 3080 based pc and all the fans kick on and the system is running warner then most AAA games is this normal or I need to adjusted the systems, other then that Im enjoying the game
In PoE my graphic card is about at 50-55 C temperature. But once I launch LE immediately my video card temperature spikes up to 70-74…
once I start up on LE the graphic card fans kick in on High speed.
For Nvidia users, it is recommended depending on your system to add a thermal limit to the GPU. LE is not currently optimized for any GPU use therefore it runs hot. Example for those who have an Alienware system can set a profile GPU temp of 66c and that seems to chill out the issues. For others, it’s to set the FPS in the options>graphics menu down to 60 with the checkboxes checked.
This… Monitor your GPU usage / temp and adjust the framerate limit in-game (remember to enable it with the checkbox) to keep the thermals and usage at an acceptable rate for your system.
Also… Consider reducing the in-game graphics quality settings - there isnt visually that much difference between Ultra and High quality settings but the affect on fps & gpu usage can be noticable especially at higher resolutions.
Once EHG can spend some quality time dealing with the performance issues then we can all enjoy a little more eye-candy and fps without heating up our homes at the same time…
