Warlord's Riches weaver tree node

This node says it will drop a pile of items of the same type with a sealed affix.

Will it drop a pile of a certain unique if I put a unique in there? obviously without sealing any affixes.

It lets you put a unique in there so I’d assume it would work but it’s obviously intended for exalts so idk

As long as it’s not a boss-specific drop and just a global random drop (even if it’s rare like red ring), then yes.

It’s not obviously intended for exalts. It’s also intended for a unique that is important for your build so you have a better chance of finding one with good rolls or higher LP.

Considering that Warlord’s Riches specifically states that it drops items that ALWAYS have a sealed affix & uniques cannot have sealed affixes, then it cannot drop a unique and it is in fact intended to be used for exalts

Perhaps you were thinking of the other three nodes which can drop uniques.

You are correct. I was confusing with “Sealed Riches”. Which, to be fair, would be the better name for the ones that drops sealed affixes.

can we get a dev confirmation on this or anyone have any proof it can drop uniques?

You can ask the devs on discord, they answer pretty fast.
But given the wording on the node, I’d say it doesn’t drop uniques because they can’t have sealed affixes, like Psojed pointed out.

i mean intellect still says it gives 4% ward retention in the game too so it can be hard to trust ambiguous wording on a node like that

Intellingence was changed this patch, so it’s possible that they haven’t fixed the tooltips in some places.
The node is brand new and there were no changes, so it’s less likely to be wrong.

As I said, you can ask the devs on discord and they’ll clear it up in no time.

Either way, one of 3 things should happen:
-It lets you place uniques and you get a normal drop (in which case it should explain that).
-It lets you place uniques and you get sealed affixes from the unique’s affixes if they’re general affixes, like stats or increased damage (in which case it sould explain that).
-Uniques do nothing in that node, in which case you shouldn’t be able to place them there.

So I’ll agree that the wording is a little ambiguous in that regard. Unless it’s the third option, in which case we could look at it as a bug instead.

update: EHG Mike confirmed it does not work with uniques
