Warlock passives not working

i have seen more than 20 stacks on boss but i never get overload buffs or witch fire procs. i think i have seen them once and then nothing even on large packs it should fire some times and nothing. makes me worried what else is not working. i know ghost flame armor buff not working either.

I have experienced a similar issue with the bleed overload variant. It seems harder to trigger than what is written, but most importantly even if triggered, i see not effect, i.e. no rip blood casts.
I have allocated cauldron of blood 6/8 and crimson favors 1/6

EDIT: Well, I just noticed that crimson favors needs 4 points allocated. It works.

Same here, Blood Overload does appear now and then, but jave never seen a Damned Overload, wondering if I’m doing something wrong or is it bugged.

It is not bugged, but it is weird.

For overload to trigger, you need to meet the conditions AND have to manually cast a fire/necrotic skill.

This would explain why sometimes it seems to randomly trigger. Many Chthonic Fissure builds have it autocasting a bunch of stuff while you are kiting or using something like rip blood.

You have some options I think:

1 - Actively cast Chaos Bolts
2 - Ghostflame (but only on cast, not channel)
3 - Hungering Souls
4 - Recast CF on a regular basis to trigger the overload. This is fine if you are not taking ‘of gloom and flames’. It gets a bit expensive otherwise.

if this is the case its broke or need better explaining in tool tip. things die so fast on my build i dont have time to stop and recast to get a trigger. also chaos bolts is a hold to cast. so your saying i have to stop risk 1 second delay in my defense for trigger. BROKEN.

Honestly i dont think this is the case because i constantly recast hungering souls and never get overload. it is so random

I will admit that the only skills I have tested this out with are Ghostflame, Chthonic Fissure and Wandering Spirits, so I may be wrong about the others.

For the ones I mentioned, I can consistently trigger the overloads if I ensure I time the other skills correctly after the first fissure.

I think there is a legitimate conversation to be had about if this is good enough for the point investment in both the passives themselves as well as the Damned/Ignite chance to make it more consistent. BUT, it is neither broken nor is it incorrectly described:

Chains of Ruin: “When you cast a necrotic skill And Enemies within 15 meters have a combined 20 stacks or more of damned…”

It is a much better setup for bosses and more tanky mobs I find. Obviously, if you are killing mobs so fast that it does not have a chance to proc, then you don’t really need it. For me, it is consistent enough that I find value for now. But I am not sure long term.

so by this logic, i am a bleed warlock i constantly stack 100 bleed on a boss and when i stop ghost flame wich is physical dmg and reposition myself i should see the blood overload, wich i dont.

sorry i misspoke when i said my ghost flame was physical its fire i took the red icon for physical i am manually casting chaos bolts and getting more triggers with blood overload. not liking loosing my defenses of ghost flame but hasn’t hurt me yet

Never managed to trigger infernal lash … at least I’ve never seen a whip or an overload buff.
Tried channeling Chaos Bolts, spamming it without channel, tried Infernal Shade … all at well over 50 stacks combined and even 70 on a single mob while standing on top of it.
Either bugged or just not how it works.

Edit: After switching to a new world it started to work … so try relogging if you just specced into it and it doesn’t trigger
