I am not sure if people will agree with me or not, but i supose thats why i want to workshop with you all, ans maybe devs can chime in.
My main issue with warlock so far has been how from a skill compoisition stand point, the skills do not work together. They feel like either a gimped fire mage, gimped physical necromancer, and a gimped Poison lich.
The reason i say gimped is that ultimately in a game where you need to scale 1 skill or element as high as possible, having to have elemental stacks to do multiple sources of damage just does not work.
Your kit for elemental stacks [fissure] is unreliable for stacking elements outside od being a debuff/mana bot for warlock / enemies
Veil is closest to decent skill. But is just worse then lich option with poison area nuke build.
Ghost flame seems to work in concept until the enemies move, or until you run out of mana instantly or get locked in for cast time and be one shot by boss.
The same problem applies to chaos bolts. Standing still is a death sentence. This spell should be a toggle that you use and it auto fires on tne enemy
**what i been doing **
fissure:
(1): aka debuff bot, mana bot which also spawns infernal zombies, with poison explosions to get bonus 4% dmg
(2): Main heal proc for chaos bolt for large boss openings
Infernal Shade + Viel:
Basically set enemies on fire when kiting, viel always triggers shade, shade always triggers zombies. This way shade never has cooldown as the two are not shared. Zombies are consumed and respawned by veil
Aka my main stat is fire, and i scale it as high as possible. But the problem you can do same thing with both necro, and lich.
Am i MISSING SOMETHING, or is this your impression also?
