Ward Per Second affix cannot be applied to Immortal Plate basetype

Have you tried putting the affix on a mage armour? I’m not sure if affixes that drop for one class (mage in this case) are supposed to be able to be put on other classes gear (acolyte in this case).

The Ward Per Second affix is exclusive to Mage body armor and helmets. The affix should say that it’s class specific in the UI. If it doesn’t, please send a screenshot and I’ll make sure it’s fixed.
