Since this is becoming a very strong and very obvious theme with the items youâre suggesting:
I sincerely hope that EHG not only never supports the âWalking Simulatorâ builds that have been popularized by POE, but actively works to make them non-viable if they crop up. Slapping on some items and then running around having zero engagement with anything on the screen is novel and goofy, but nonetheless a playstyle that, IMO, should be relegated to mobile gacha games. I like it about LE that it wants me to actually play the game with more than a single button.
Donât you like to walk, in forest, in moutain, âŚetc ?
This is very relaxing on evenings and week ends.
Fear the Walking Dead (Necromancer).
On the contrary, it increases the playerâs engagement towards the gameâs environment, as these kind of contemplative builds (game as a movie, no brainer) can be played during 10 hours without much physical strain (carpal tunnel syndrome).
Think it as a Youtube inside the game.
Would you say that Youtube doesnât engage users ?
It is called âpassiveâ.
And this gameplay has its own public.
Maybe not you, but one cannot impose its views on the others.
It takes all kinds to make a world.
If you use transplant, there are 2 buttons.
Joke aside, I personally prefer to emphasize the combination (the build) rater than action (destroying the mouse and keyboard).
Maybe because I like being the strategic type, composing a deck of features, then watch the result on screen.
Like a Machine Learning Engineer or a Quality Assurance Tester.
In the industry, they do all automatize their tests, by the way.
EHG removed passive skills from the skill pool because they want active and engaging builds. They somehow made some procc uniques in the past but I hope weâll never see âuse skill X proxx skill Zâ type of uniques because if they bring these ingame they can go and revert all the changes back to automation mode from back in the days.
Sure. And when I want that, I go to a forest or a mountain. I do not try to get it from a game in which the focus is fighting and killing monsters and getting loot.
Sight-seeing an environment you will see thousands of times while ignoring every enemy on screen is not engagement.
That exists already, and itâs called Twitch.
There is no engagement in sitting and watching a video. You are not engaging with the content, you are simply consuming it. You may react to it, but that is not engaging with it. No interaction is involved on your part.
The âAâ in âARPGâ stands for âActionâ, as in the word âactiveâ - the opposite of âpassiveâ.
I disagree. The correct move is for some players to start recognizing that in almost every game, any âcompetitionâ is both manufactured and meaningless, so they can just play and enjoy the game without worrying constantly about where they land on an imaginary leaderboard that means nothing.
Yeah because weâre playing a game about killing monsters, not a game about exploring environments.
I want you to know that I donât believe for a moment that what you want out of fully automated gameplay is the simple, innocuous joy of being able to enjoy the beauty of the environment the 10th, 100th, 100th time youâve seen it.
I think you mightâve watched The Matrix a bit too much, friend.
Unique Belt
Wandering Spirits applies your equipped Bone Curse on your behalf to uncursed enemies, for the double Mana cost.
The idea behind applying Bone Curse automatically is to benefit from, inside the Wandering Spirits skill tree, the node Reap the Damned (2 effects).
Equipping this belt, the first effect is automatically triggered (Damage To Cursed Enemies: +12% per point).
It incentives the players to unlock the node Sins of the Forgotten (Damned Chance per Second: +30% per point, 3 points) in order to benefit from the second effect (Damage To Damned Enemies: +12% per point) of the node Reap the Damned.
The idea is to create a Wandering Spirits build that, by buffing the damage of Wandering Spirits through curse and damned, also deals damage through damned stacks.
Chronicles of the Damned
In addition, Chronicle of the Damned is an Off-Hand Catalyst currently based on Hungering Souls.
But the new top item for Hungering Souls is Curse of Perseverance, a Two-Handed Staff.
You canât equip both a Two-Handed Staff and a Catalyst.
Therefore, Chronicle of the Damned should not reference Hungering Souls.
On the contrary, Chronicle of the Damned should emphasize Wandering Spirits.
+1 to Level of Wandering Spirits +1 to Level of Hungering Souls (11% to 16%) Chance to inflict Damned on Hit with Hungering Souls per Active Wandering Spirit
+2 to Level of Wandering Spirits
Sins of the Forgotten now applies 1 of stack of Damned per Active Wandering Spirit
Plenty of people as well DO want that. Occasionally I want to play a build where I dont do hardly anything. Infact I respecâd even in LE at 95 on the new launch from solo Bone Golem to solo Skeleton Archmage as I was sick of spamming Rip Blood and it missing etc, now the Skeleton just mows down mobs from range while I autocast Dreadshade, occasionaly cast Infernal. I hit 98 last night, will cruise to 100 and reroll something else without a minion
