My plan was to roll a Void Knight with Multistrike and use echoes. But when I read the skill description on Void Cleave, it says “Can be echoed by Void Knights.” Meanwhile, Multistrike says no such thing. Does this mean that echo is limited to only some specific skills, and that Multistrike cannot echo?
“Your melee attacks, throwing attacks and void spells have a 10% chance to be repeated by an echo 0.5s later (excludes movement abilities and Anomaly).”
So why would Multistrike be excluded from echoing? I assume that it isn’t. But starting out a new season and not finding out until I’m lvl 15+ already kinda sucks.
I do not know how echoes work. I only know that when I played VK I noticed, Rive, warpath, and all void skills could echo. I’ll wait for somebody else to comment who has more expertise on the topic.
Why dont you just equip multistrike and see what happens? If it echoes you will see it as a purple ghost repeating the attack. You can increase your chance to echo in the VK tree.
I know, the thing is I’m playing with some friends and I won’t find out if my build works or not until I gain the skill at lvl 15 or whatever it is. Rerolling then is just wasting our time and complicating things.
If the class text description is wrong then it’s not an overreaction. They had years to write a proper line of text that is more or less the only thing you have to go by when making a fundamental class choice.

Multistrike is a melee attack, so it can echo. It is not excluded as it is does not have the movement tag and it is definitely not Anomaly. Their wording is just fine. Good luck with your build.
