Viscera bug and the sad state of Forge strike

Alright so I’m making this in feedback but it is also a bug report, Viscera from Torkrefin’s hunger can be snapshotted.

Anyway I was just testing out some bleed Forge guard memes and noticed the sad state of bleed forge strike. In my current setup, which has Hammer/Anvil stance:

  1. 4 seconds of Warpath which is in Anvil (25% less damage) and has some 32% more damage from 2 points in its tree and barely one stack of phys shred is getting 6k ticks on the dummy
  2. Forge Strike which is in Hammer (25% more damage) and has 16% more damage, 130% phys pen, 100% increased damage from its tree as well as 60% more damage from javelin tree AND 4 stacks of phys shred is getting 7k ticks on the dummy(also this is combined Javelin+FS damage and both are boosted by Viscera 14% pen).

I am convinced the numbers don’t add up, its like Forge strike is bugged to deal less damage.

Its like the game itself telling me should’ve just gone paladin…

Facts. I was screwing around with a Rive/Manifest Armor/Forge Strike/Ring of Shields build and even with Bastion of Honour the build was both squishy and too low DPS to take down even a medium level boss. Simply Sad.

In fact, Ring of Shields is such a bad skill that I can’t find ONE SINGLE BUILD GUIDE ANYWHERE that uses it.

I used it in one of mine, like 3-4 years ago.

There is a node to make the shields spin faster during Warpath, so if you could then get the shields to inflict ignite as they pass through mobs or bosses to inflict DoT stacks you might have something there – but even then, you’re barely talking about a… checks Ring of Shields Nodes Hmmm… Maybe I should play around with this idea some more… Also, this skill really needs an auto-recast node for 100% uptime because clicking a skill every 4 seconds is just PLEH.

Thats what num lock is for plus the Shield Crafter FG passive. I’ve had up to 36 shields active before.

I have Shield Crafter and the duration node points to make them last 10 seconds instead of 4. It’s still kinda PLEH. Plus, there are a lot of classes where playing around in the L40 to L70 range is kinda painful. So easy to break a build and then have to spend a bunch of Echoes at 1/4 speed while you grind that skill exp back out.
