Description
The Flames of Midnight unique ring replaces Evade with Spirit Step. Spirit Step visually teleports the character instantly whereas Evade has a rolling animation. Any MTX applied to Evade will usually follow the character throughout the entire rolling animation and leave some VFX for a short amount of time. On some MTX, Spirit Step’s visual effect doesn’t follow the characters path and shoots past the teleported location.
Naturally, I was only able to test the MTX I own. The following Evade MTX were tested:
Bugged VFX: Cherry Blossom, Umbral Crow, Seismic, Spirit Hawk
Normal VFX: Flamewalker, Lightwalker, Stormwalker, Wraithwalker
Steps to reproduce
- Equip the Flames of Midnight unique ring (Requires Level 52)
- Apply an affected MTX like Cherry Blossom on Evade using the cosmetics menu
- Enter any location where all combat skills are usable, as Evade won’t be replaced by Spirit Step when inside a town
- Activate the Evade skill
Expected result
VFX should be applied along the path of teleportation.
Actual result:
The VFX are not bound to the path of teleportation and just shoot past the target location, quickly going off-view.
