I know it’d complicate language support - but I installed it, played 8 hours straight and I’m up to Maj’elka - and I’m already sick of reading the story, and started skipping over the written blurbs.
Don’t get me wrong - storyline was interesting, whole premise was engaging… up to the point where NPC don’t have any personality beyond a short sound bite. No emotive dialogue. It’s like going to the cinema to watch a movie - but every time a character speaks, they’re silent and you’re handed a cue card to read instead. I just think that’s a definite opportunity for improvement, should it be feasible to implement.
I’m sure they are aware of this. The game is a work in progress and this is certainly not a priority. I’m positive the dialogue will be improved drastically over time. Not too long ago there was almost no dialogue at all past a few lines in the very beginning of the game. Be patient on this one:)
All this will done at the very end, before release.
Don’t forget the game is currently in beta and the devs said they focus on gameplay first.
So right now, they’re improving/adding mainly stuff about gameplay. Then, when gameplay is OK, they will be able to focus on all other important elements, such as what you suggested.
