As someone who has made many top ladder Beastmasters I have to disagree with some of this. Really only minion damage/minion % life is important. The rest should be defensive nodes for yourself. At least at this point in the game where with a good build the only thing limiting you will be not dying to high wave monsters which hit really hard. Minion regen is completely useless. Why? Because str nodes give flat life which scales really high and a good minion build will use the strength summons along with minion life leech nodes. Life leech scales way better than minion health regen.

If you actually want to get far in the ladder you should use set added health as one of your prefixes on rings/amulet/relic and minion dmg as the other. Scaling health is the way to go. That being said it is probably worth it to get the fang unique for the addition wolf and the 80% increased damage (50 life aint bad either). Wolves are awesome. Stun avoid is absolute garbage because you could have gotten health instead;) Look at the formula for calculating stun.

On your actual armor slots (helm/body/gloves) you should get vitality because vitality is a difficult stat for beastmaster. Only 5 on the tree and no supplemental bonuses. Armor as a suffix is also useful (flat armor) because we will be going heavy on strength on the passive tree which gives 5% increase to armor. This once again is to scale the life of our minions by adding flat life.

Boots should be focused on move speed.

One specific note. Although minion physical damage IS a good stat. Prefixs are extremely valueable. And the minion physical wont scale with things like your Sabertooths cold damage or the lightning counter attack from wolves(which you should absolutely get as well as the flat added lightning dmg which also will no scale with physical dmg minion nodes). With saber tooth I go all Ice Tiger build. Getting the phys conversion to cold. All 5 added cold damage nodes (flat damage is the best thing in this game, trust me:) and then 4/5 of the more cold damage nodes. The 40% melee dmg node is good but as someone pushing deep into waves I like the sabertooth to be able to leap intercept enemies and begin layering ice vortexes from taking damage faster. Hope that helps!

Overall, your damage will be more than good enough with solid gear and a good build to push late into waves. Not dying is the hard part:)

Do you guys think 4 affixes (2pre 2suff) are enough to build an endgame character later on?

Could you see yourself getting enough ress, EHP plus dps stats (not just BM stats) to ensure a balanced char?

Well thats part of the challenge. But lets say you managed to get all your gear with four t5 stats? You’ll not only be balanced but bad ass. That’s easier said than done though:) Most of my builds even when I’m lucky will have 3 quad t5 gears at best. But having 3 stats at t5 with one throwaway is much more doable and still very strong. Having the right mix of stats and understanding which affixes can go where is the key. Its sort of a balancing act.

Like for example: you’ve gotten lucky on some of your rolls and landed a lot of flat armor and life with nice high end t5s. You’ll want to specifically craft % increased life and % armor on a couple of gears to take advantage of that. A bit of an over simplification but you get the point im sure:) It also depends a lot on your class and which passives you have to supplement your gear. Knowing which mods can roll on which gears and which mods are suffix/prefix is key. It’s not as easy as it sounds. Which I love. Something simple that is actually complex.

I’m on ladder KiciaRuchawka SC, bleed-poison build doing minions blitzkrieg in Areana.

I have tried most of combos in minion setups already. Love this game for how easy is changing skills tree and passives. Still 1mil gold in bank and gonna try more combos.

My most difficulties are atm is survive lag-fest after 200 waves, need adjust my settings somehow.

I"ll sort my post soon.
