Upgrade packs as DLCs on Steam

Hi i bought this game some months ago and i would prefer if i could upgrade my pack in the same plataform i bought the game.

So i want to ask if devs could put those supporter packs tiers as dlcs, like what grim dawn done with his skins and vanity items

PD: I discover the game through steam thats why i bought there in the first place

Grim Dawn’s dlcs are quite different, there you’re paying for specific items. With LE you’re buying packs to get cosmetic points (as yet unspendable) & a pet plus some physical items in the higher end packs. I’m not sure how Steam would handle upgrading your pack, as currently if you want to upgrade to a higher pack you just pay the difference.

It would be nice to have the packs on steam though that would also mean Steam/Valve getting 30% of the price compared to all of it going to EHG (less a few % for merchants fees).

there are online games and games with mxt that already do something like this, fallout 4 and 76 let you buy atoms for the ingame shop, and wakfu let you buy the cash money packs with mounts and pets, i think steam have ways to enabling this, also a big thing that have steam is regional prices, not everyone have $60 dolars to spend but want to contribute anyways, but yeah the steam takes from the sale is indeed something to take into account.

I dont know about physical items, maybe they could lower the prize for steam upgrades, beacause physical items are not included also is faster to buy it from steam that put again all my bank and credit card data to pay the upgrade here.

Yeah, I think buying the premium currency would be easy for Steam to do since you’re just buying “self-contained” packs that don’t have any relation to how many you’ve bought before. I’m just not sure how Steam would cope with you saying that you want to buy an upgrade from your Ardent Gladiator pack ($35) to an Ardent Champion pack ($60 where you would pay an additional $25). I think I’ve seen upgrades before but I’m not sure.

They could certainly do a “digital only” pack for steam with a reduced price. Whether they’ll want to is a different cup of tea.

Steam have things called packs that you buy two or more items, if you already have one, the pack only applies the cost of items you dont have yet, steam could have that base game have a prize of $35, ardent champion cost only the $25, and basically each dlc remove the base prize from it (the $35)

Yeah, that was probably what I was thinking.

well the thing is that i think that could be done if they want and would be a lot more comfortable for some of us that usually prefer to buy only on steam platform and hope they take it into account.

I would love to show more support and upgrade my steam game. It’s a shame this is not an option (yet).
