Upgrade Legendary Potential Rune

Hey

If you add new rune for upgrade legendary potential with low percentage it would be good for very rare items. For example, this rune can only drop at +300 corruption. Thus getting upgrades for the end game becomes a little easier.

An excelent idea as it could work well with rune of ascendence. Rune of ascendence, make an item of LP2. And then try to gamble to increase it.

Odds should maybe be 1%, success at cost of 20+ crafting potential cost.

Sure just make it 1% chance success and failure destroys the item.

You are just asking for increased chance to get LP - with extra steps.

Iā€™m all for it with a high chance of destruction. 1% success sounds fine, at least 75% destruction is a a must though to keep it balanced. rarity should be really high as well so you donā€™t drop many of them, vastly below ascendance.

And thatā€™s why the devs donā€™t want a way to give increased LP, especially if itā€™s deterministic (like the frequent request to merge 2 or more of the same unique to give increased LP).

There is no crafting potential in play, unless I am missing your point.

Iā€™d also love to see a rune or glyph that could increase FP, perhaps with a chance to do nothing (and thus potentially spend FP).

I mean how many times have you picked up a great item with perfect affixes but FP so low it is useless?

The idea of runes to upgrade a unique is a good one if EHG (Eleventh Hour Games) donā€™t want to fix their stats.
They could replace the Soulfire Bastion Dungeon reward, (gamblingā€¦), with a system to raise the level of the LP.
Or if they want to keep this dungeon, they could give this reward for the arena, which would make it more interesting lol
For the moment, itā€™s better to play offline to be able to have LP4 like like influencers on youtube, big joke. And itā€™s not make a big difference for multiplaying, because we donā€™t have it anyway !

They donā€™t want to do that in any flavour 'cause youā€™d end up with all uniques having 4LP, even the really powerful ones that they want to be eyewateringly rare with LP.

If you just want to cheat edit your items, yes.

I dont know if cheating is the right word here. If its offline, and effects no one else, its fine for personal fun or theory crafting. Cheating yourself may be a thing, but it harms no one

If itā€™s going against the rules of the game then itā€™s cheating. Back in the day when I used to play TQ, sometimes Iā€™d be looking for a particular piece of gear but was unable to find it so Iā€™d just use an editor to give it to myself. I didnā€™t enjoy the game when i did that as much as I did when I just used stuff that I had found, so the ā€œitā€™s not harming anyoneā€ isnā€™t entirely true.

Theorycrafting/testing, I agree with.

It is. I donā€™t like the trend that ā€œplaying offlineā€ implies modifying your save files. I am okay with the process for theorycrafting purposes, but content creators should at least be explicit about it.

Runes and glyphs would be cool but Iunno if destroying items if you fail is for Cof maybe merchants guild sure. if so itā€™d have to be greatly reduced for cof .
Takes hours to grind for gear in cof sometimes and ruining it with a bad slam is one thing but destroying it is something different at least at the 1% range lol

While I disagree that a bad slam ruins the unique (itā€™s still always going to be objectively better than the base unique even if the affixes arenā€™t the ones you wanted), the original version of crafting had actual destroying/making the item worse as a critical failure state. Thereā€™s a reason why it was changed/removed.
