The idol clearly states that “Once you have three runes for Runic Invocation your runes cannot change until they are consumed” but when you cast runebolts with the Focused Runewords talent, you just gain the runes in the same way as if you didnt have the talent (Fire - Lightning -Cold) as if the effect of the idol is a constant effect.
