Unlootable drops - no

FWIW, this is a pain - I don’t have a forum account and don’t want one. This is a throwaway. I’m submitting what info I can in the hopes that it helps, but it’s unlikely I’ll see or respond to this thread. Good luck and many props to the devs for a great game. First issue like this I’ve had in a “beta” game in 600+ hours.

Had a unique drop (orange beam) that I could not loot. I could see the model on the floor in the fire themed mini-arena node where it dropped. I tried the following:

  • toggle the loot filter via hotkey
  • change active loot filter to “no filter”, or other filters I had that all used to work.
  • Create new loot filter show uniques as only rule. Enable disable with hotkey.
  • Delete current filter.
  • Dropped other items - could not see the tag or pick these up so they behaved the same as the initial drop I couldn’t pick up as far as I could tell.
  • changed the tag setting - short, regular, long, all no fix and no change.

Could not fix the issue so I gave up. Would have loved to show an image but I don’t have an imgur (or other) account.

Did you try using the other key (either Z or X, I can never remember which)?

That’ll be a no then. You’d most likely toggled the ground labels off, toggling them back on again would make them visible.

Definitely sounds like the ground toggle and nothing else.

Although, from those in-line log lines it does look like there is a secondary problem with a corrupted lootfilter.

I also keep forgetting. Its Z, X is the lootfilter. Apparenly if you have installed recently, its changed to Shift-Z as the default but I couldnt be arsed to clear everything and reinstall clean to check.
