Uniques

Hello there, great game, great fun. Well done.

Little suggestion here if I may.

I know that time is scarce and the team is not Blizzard sized. With that in mind I come up with an idea that hopefully could inspire for a “solution” to the unique lack of variety.

There are already the affix and prefix lines in-game so maybe this wouldn’t be too hard to implement.

Uniques feel lacking to me because since I can’t change anything and if you haven’t created anything that I can use for my build I won’t be able to make legendary equipment. And that’s a bummer for end game to me.

So here’s the idea:

  • uniques can’t still be used in crafting, same as it is now.
  • lines with specific skill mods could randomly roll through the different skills of the same base class
  • damage type would randomly roll, but keeping the same flavor, like for example, if the line is giving lightning dmg it would roll through the elements but never give poison or necrotic, same for physical, it could change to bleeding because it’s also a type of physical damage
  • some lines, the ones that kinda define the unique would be static to keep it unique

That’s it I think. This way we could have more uniques without you guys having to create more uniques. Hope it makes sense.
This idea is more to inspire, not to be taken literally, I am not a game designer, so I am sure that I missed many things.
