Unique are the best tir items in the game and should always be useful in some way or another. The problem is that at higher levels Unique drops 80% of the time is just “mah” and you don’t even bother picking the item up if you know what it is. Or you often drop it again or sell it.
Way not make so you can salvage Unique and get some good crafting mats or something out of it, so Unique always are worth picking up. It always hurt to discard so many Unique items right now
Maybe let you merge 2 Uniques, and it keeps the higher stats rolls of the 2. This would really be useful with Legendaries, where you might have 2+ LP, but bottom tier stat rolls. You would then have a use for all those non-LP items you find, where you could use them to buff your LP Uniques, and eventually end up with a GG, near-perfect rolled item. Maybe bind it to the account at that point, so it cannot be traded when MP is released.
Or, to keep the process from being too OP, only allow 1 stat to be upgrades (randomly perhaps) per ‘craft’. Maybe could even make it s %-based success rate, which decreases each time the Unique/Legendary item is improved via this process. And, could put the process at the end of a dungeon, with each tier increasing the success rate %.
