Unique or set X or Y need splitting into Unique X or Y and Set X or Y.
There will eventually need to be more ways to narrow the pool of unique drop outcome even after splitting into the above - at the moment there are some categories of unique where target farming specific uniques with LP is not fun or engaging gameplay at all, it’s a chore.
Players (myself included) end up with stashes full of exalted items waiting for the eternity cache, but the rarity of Unique or Set X or Y and the pool pollution with set items is quickly leading to “why do I bother with this” not “I’ll get it eventually”. My current situation looks something like:
- Stash page of dungeon keys
- Many stash pages of crafted, >t20 exalted items, in some cases 10+ per item type, waiting for the eternity cache
- Praying for
Unique or Set X or Ynodes - Praying it’s not another Ferebor’s F’ing Chisel
- It’s Ferebor’s Chisel again!
This is further compounded by the lack of need to run dungeons any further once you’ve got these stash tabs full of exalted items and no LP uniques to use them with - I don’t need Arbor/Bastion (plenty of exalted items already), don’t need Julra (not wasting keys on useless uniques).
I’m essentially tied to churning through nodes in a given monolith in search of rare nodes that are increasingly less likely (as the pool of uniques grows each patch) to drop the item I need , and on the tiny chance it does drop, it has yet another dice roll on whether it has LP , yet another dice roll on >1 LP and then yet another dice roll on getting the ideal affixes off the exalted item .
Too much work for too much uncertainty at the moment. I want to run dungeons and attempt to make cool legendaries. I don’t even care if the cache gives me the two worst affixes from the exalted item - at least I had a chance! At present I don’t even get a chance, target farming a specific unique with LP is a vertical mountain climb.
