I had a similar idea for Uniques to make them more useful for longer in the game…
Just a quick idea: How about a Rune to enhance uniques by running a re-roll of a unique?
e.g. A Rainbow Edge is a pretty cool sword early to mid game but it rapidly becomes less useful vs higher level one-hand swords. So how about a way to “re-forge” it into something more viable for end game use while still keeping its uniqueness/abilities.
Points:
Obviously the re-forge would be within reason to prevent OP breaking. (E.g. lower attack speed than original but more damage or vice versa etc…
