If you’re using Lightning Blast, this is a known issue.
Experiencing this occur playing lightning-focused sorcerer. Modal crash window reads:
“Fatal error in GC. Unexpected mark stack overflow.”
Skills being used are: Teleport, Static Orb, Lightning Blast and Fire Shield
EDIT Including game log: Player.log (1.6 MB)
Hi there. I have submitted a number of crash bugs on the above issue. This nasty bug is rendering the game very unstable for me and it seems to be quite random
My principal damage spell is ‘lightning blast’ channeling, forking and fast casting. On using this spell I can get a Unexpected Mark Stack Overflow fatal crash to desktop every 10 - 30 mins.
This crash has only started to appear after the patch which revamped the Lightning Blast tree, in the year or so playing the game, I don’t recal…
Player.zip (1.6 MB) LE_2ndCrash_SS.zip (3.9 MB)
Attempted to zone and crashed, screenshot of error attached, and player log. I noticed when the client crashes it appears like its doing something, like a crash upload or is it just saving out the log? Do you need to reports sent in manually, or is it already being done automatically by the client on a crash?
With the new patch, I decided to create a new mage (now level 13) and use Lightning Blast. Trying to see if the fatal error still happens. It did. The folder contains everything. Crash report, DxDiag, screenshots of skils and passives, etc.

As said by Llama8, this is caused by Lightning Blast.
Patch 0.7.8 will fix this issue. In the meantime, you can workaround the problem either by using a different skill, or by using the node on Lightning Blast’s tree that converts it to Cold Damage.
is there any workaround that can be done with graphical settings or its not related?
