Could we get rid of most of the % chance increased drop rate blessings, please? Literally my last 6-7 runs now have all had the choices of things like more chest armor, more helmets or more idols. Completely underwhelming and boring. There is no sense of reward at all when you get to pick these. A whole day of playing can feel like it’s been for naught. I literally couldn’t care less if more body armor or boots drop.
Give us some interesting choices. Add more raw stat boosts, maybe even procs and special effects that can happen as you play. Be more creative, please.
Having some “drop chance” blessings lowers the risk to have overpowered heroes. But if you don’t want such blessings, don’t do the timelines that bring them.
They are grouped: some timelines only give “drop chance” blessings, the others give other kinds of bonuses.
some of them may be underwhelming for you, but i am a fan of these… they can help you when you’re farming specific gear and idols, or if you need a lot of runes/glyphs… maybe you don’t go out of your way to farm these for the best roll, but they’re still nice to have when you get them. they also open up design space for the devs to offer further personalization of drops, either with more powerful blessings or more specific targeting.
they might need a little adjustment but i think they’re a great addition to the game.
Just wanted to hop in and say, the meta blessings and the actual character power blessings are strictly seperated.
We currently have 10 timelines in total, 5 of which give character power blessings and the other 5 give meta-blessings like increased drop rates, increased exp, gold, runes, glyphs etc.
They do not compete with each other.
If they are underwhelming or not is a totally different discussion.
I think alot of people underestimate them. Especially the experience and idols ones from the Fall Of The Outcasts are great.
Also for min-maxing they are great. if you have a close to perfect character and you only miss 1 or 2 specific perfect pieces getting those blessings is really helpful.
They do not weight the loot towards the specific slot/item type, but they do give you more items
Thanks for clearing that up. I thought they were completely random so no wonder I’ve been getting these choices over and over again. That makes it a little more reasonable then since I thought I was forced to pick drop rates over blessings that actually improve my character.
If you click on the timelines it’ll show you what blessings it can give. In-game the left monoliths give the “economic” blessings (Stolen Lance, Blood Frost & Death and Ending the Empire, plus Last Ruin though I can’t remember where on the map that is).
I think it’s a feel issue. Dunno who it was, but I think someone here said the chance for loot blessings feel bad because they’re less obvious. With stat blessings, you see that +X damage as soon as you get them.
With the loot ones, it’s only a chance, and you have no way of knowing if you got a drop because of it or if it just dropped.
Llama meant “Ending the Storm” and “Fall of the Empire” xD (although Ending the Storm does give a power blessing)
The 5th one Llama missed was Fall of the Outcasts.
So to re-recapitalize, the 5 timelines that “only” give economic blessings as Llama called them:
Lvl 55 Fall of the Outcasts
Lvl 60 The Stolen Lance
Lvl 70 Blood, Frost & Death
Lvl 80 Fall of the Empire
Lvl 90 The Last Ruin
That is a good point, a visual indicator or a subtle sound when the “blessing trigered” would be nice, if it would not be annoying (it really needs to be subtle)
