I play a beastmaster lighting wolves build. Currently I have a companion limit of 3 (+1 innately from being a beastmaster). I also have the “Permant Bond” skill in the Summon Wolf tree that allows me to have an additional wolf on top of that. So in total, I should be able to summon 4 wolves (I have saftey in number allocated in the summon wolf skill tree as well). But usually, there is a wolf that’ll automatically spawn when you have the Summon Wolf skll slotted to your hotbar. Now, I can no longer summon the 3 other wolves, instead, it just changed to the howl ability. Normally, it should still show the summon wolves ability if I’m under my companion limit.
edit: Same issue here. Companion limit of 3 and usually I can have 2 wolves +2 other companions only if I do it this way: summon wolves (summons 3 + the one I already have) > summon bear (despawns one) > other summon (despawns another). If I reverse the order I have a total of 1 wolf instead of 2.
Done more testing: dying, shifting timelines, etc removes the one from Permanent Bond. So you’ll be stuck with 1 wolf, 2 other summons, without the one from Permanent Bond.
yeah i’ve seen the same bug When I do the extra wolf that doesn’t depend on a companion I can either have the companion wolf or the other one I can’t have them both
