Problem: The quest ‘Fractured Omens’ is stuck on the phase “Enter the last echo of an Omen echo chain.”
NOTE: This test was run on all 10 monolith timelines in Normal mode. Also one test in ‘Fall of the Outcasts’ empowered monolith. No deaths during the echo chain. All echo chains where primal rift related. I am unsure if that is expected behavior, but they are the only type of echo chain I have encountered.
Steps:
After uncovering an Omen Echo Chain; indicated by a blue aura attaching three echoes together; begin and complete the first echo
Upon completion accept your reward
Proceed through the portal which indicates you are proceeding to 2/3 in the echo chain
Complete the echo
Complete steps 2 and 3 with the portal now indicating 3/3 in the echo chain
Complete the echo and accept your reward
Expected Behavior: The quest step “Enter the last echo of an Omen echo chain.” of the quest ‘Fractured Omens’ is complete and the next quest step begins.
Our team had a look into this, and the issue appears to be that it is not an Omen Echo Chain being completed, but another type of Echo Chain, such as a Primal Hunt Echo Chain. It should complete as expected when specifically an Omen Echo Chain is completed.
I have completed tonnes of chains and still have the same issue. And to add, it seems to be preventing Omen echo chains from spawning at all for me. I had a couple of them early in the game, 1st/2nd normal monoloth, and not had another one since. All I get are nemesis, riftbeast, stability etc and I am now at 300+ corruption with all harbingers down.
For those that find themselves here and didn’t get enough information from Kain, I found that a chain has small icon on each echo in the chain. Highlighting an echo in the chain gives information about the chain at the top. The icon for an Omen Echo looks like a purple mask with horns and the information says "Omen Echo Chain X/X. You must complete this specific chain type for the quest to progress.
My issue is Omen chains are simply not spawning for me at all. I get every other type with no issues. I’ve even gone back through all monoliths, normal and empowered, to check if I’d left one unfinished but didn’t find any. I’m sure it has something to do with the quest.
Interesting. I’m just a CM not a programmer, but my first thought is Weaver. Could you by any chance also provide a copy/image of your current weaver tree? See if the chain spawn chances are being influenced.
Sure. This is my current tree, but I only recently added the omen echo nodes to see if made any difference. I have seen the roaming omens since doing that, but still no Omen echo chains.
Ok got this to work in the end. Went to fall of the outcasts NORMAL monolith(lvl 62) since that’s where the quest highlights when you select it, ran a few echoes and an Omen chain spawned. Completed it and the quest progressed. I then went to my normal empowered monolith and sure enough a little while later an Omen chain spawned. Don’t know if this helps others but that is what worked for me anyway.
I have completed the outcasts maybe 5 or 5 times now , tried every questline , used search , restarted , fought the double omen boss’s = completed several times and can’t complete “Use the timeglass core” . Repeating outcasts has made the entire game boring and I’m too frustrated to play anymore this season now.
The timeglass core is the big ball that only shows up at the end of an Omen echo chain, you interact with it and it gives you a choice of taking shards or spawning other echo chains. It’s easy to miss tbf.
