UI needs serious improvements

Whoever designed the UI in this game needs to be fired. Out of a cannon.

I’ve never played a game which tries so hard to hide life bars. Not sure how this passed QA unless nobody in that office plays hardcore mode.

List of elements off the top of my head which will hide life bars - either the health orb, or ‘above characters head’ bar;

-Map
-Character panel
-Crafting panel
-Item drops
-Mobs
-Terrain
-Skill effects
-NPC inventory
-Faction screen
-Passive window
-Skill tree window
-Settings menu

Another annoyance - clicking through the menu and interacting with the environment. Very few things induce so much rage as clicking on a waypoint while editing a loot filter. This is a very old bug…common…

While I’m at it - give us an option to disable tip pop ups - we know how to use a potion after the 100th character.

And for the love of christ please get rid of some nuisance pop ups like “quest completed” and the blessing window - these get in the way. I don’t know if my character is safe, but you’re forcing me to choose a blessing the nanosecond I kill a timeline boss. Add a stone or NPC to interact with instead.

I agree with the others, but why are these a problem? Especially the NPC inventories since they don’t happen outside of safe zones.

And if the health bar was shown above the skill/passive screens, it’d look janky as fuck.

Yup, this has been complained about since they were introduced.

The biggest UI issue is the ‘click through UI window’ problem defintiely.

I can’t even count the number of times I do something, missclick by a pixel and my character runs off to interact with something, closing the window I’ve worked inside currently and ripping me out of the process. It’s absolutely infuriating to happen because it’s not supposed to and happens all too regularly if you tinker a lot with loot filters for example.

“click through” annoying and old af. I have already come to terms with character movements, but this thing is like hell. Set it to highest priority to fix please, we can’t wait another 3 years.
And I agree with life bars things, health must always be on screen and no popups when you can get damage also, this is stupid.

Well, UI must be designed beforehand, d2 for example don’t hide hp/mp orbs and it looks natural. I don’t see any problems to make something like this here. Just redesign some parts and no one dies on hc :slight_smile:

True, but D2 didn’t have hp bars in the middle of the screen (I think). I guess my issue with redesigning the UI to not hide the hp/mana bulbs is that it’d reduce the amount of screen space for the inventory/character screen by a fair bit. Though that assumes that those aren’t reworked instead/as well.
