UI elements getting cut off

I’ve decided to try out LE. The game launched normally, but then I noticed that despite setting the correct resolution in settings (1280 x 1024), important text and UI elements are getting cut off on the sides.

I’ve already filed a bug report with the in-game tool, but is there something I can do to play LE in the meanwhile? I’ve been really excited to try the game out for a while and it would be such a shame if I had to wait for it to get fixed to play.

You can try changing the UI scaling settings. 1280x1024 is a very small resolution that is barely used anymore. It’s likely the normal UI is optimized for 1920x1080.
You can also try increasing the resolution to that.

I have a 1280x1024 monitor; I doubt that setting the resolution to a bigger one would help with it.

As I said, that resolution is kinda outdated by now. The norm is 1920. But if the option is there, it should work properly.
So try changing the UI scaling size to see if that fixes it.

The option simply isn’t there. 1280x1024 is the max resolution it goes to.

I’m not talking about your resolution. The game has an option, in settings, to change the size of the UI:

So I tried changing the UI scale option to “Small”. It helped a bit with the UI, but the game itself is still cut off.
I would post an image, but images are banned from the forums for whatever reason…?

They’re not banned. You just need to upload them to an image hosting service like imgur.com.

Upliading them is, none if the permitted upload file formats are image formats as far as I’m aware.

Market share for you resolution ~0.3% by steam stats. Game just not designed to support it. To bad they not added resolution to minimum requirements, but it’s kinda obvious.

I never even noticed that you could actually upload a file here.
Seems it’s all text formats, but weirdly enough they allow zip files? Doesn’t make much sense, security wise.

Probably so you can zip up the potentially massive log files to upload. Not rrally an issue now with the IGBR.

So I ended up “solving” the issue by ordering a cheap 16:9 monitor if anyone’s interested. Excited to actually play the game tomorrow when the monitor arrives.
