E.g. “5 1 Plated Belt” means the belt has two prefixes and one is t5 and the other is t1, “1 2 Plated Belt 3 2” means the belt has 4 affixes, etc. Idols will always be “1 XX Idol 1”. The number uses up the same space as the dot but provide more valuable information at a glance. Players may want to pick up an item with high tiers (like two t4 affixes) but not necessary items with more low tier affixes.

You could do a variation of this with colours on the Loot filter… Its what I do… e.g. for something like a 5 5 belt 1 1, my filter will mark this as a high tier total item (greater than T10) by changing the colour… This makes it easy for me to “check” loot I am interested in…
I also have filters that emphasise / colour specific affixes that are T5 and greater so that they stand out…
obviously you can make it very fine grained and find exactly what you want but your drops could end up bring a little too rainbow unless you restrict your filters in some way (only have build related filters active)
