I’ve had like 150-200 encounters with Uber Aberroth and what i discovered is that his Slam attack needs to be checked 100%. Dying from Slam attack while being behind Uber Aberroth is absurd to a level that it makes him discouraging from even trying to fight instead of being a pinnacle boss that’s really challenging.
I don’t mind with any other mechanic and everything else is fine. If you pay attention you can handle anything he throws at you. The Slam attack though needs to be fixed. It’s radius is either enormous at the time of impact or it bugs if you try to move while he’s doing the animation. I died 90% of the slam deaths due to this and that’s discouraging for me to keep trying and improving for this boss. If i lower him to 50% and all of a sudden i die from a bugged out Slam while being behind him when i handled everything he threw at me up to this point. That’s not something you focus in order to improve and get his drops. That’s something that prevents you from even considering doing that echo or placing it in the first place.

Responding here to agree. The Slam attack (and the Ground of Destruction it spawns) are complete nonsense for a number of reasons:
- The line Slam does almost as much damage as a Tri-Flail Slam, which is far slower and way more telegraphed (see below)
- The Slam is nearly instant. You usually cannot react to this unless you are expecting it and drop whatever it is you’re doing to dodge it (or if you’re running away from something else already)
- The Ground of Destruction it creates ticks for about 500-900 damage, which is insane for how long it persists (around 30 seconds or so?). Usually what kills you isn’t just the Slam, but the Slam hit + a flame carpet DoT ticking instantly.
- The Ground of Destruction’s hitbox is massive. The purple goop on the sides of the actual flame carpet? Yeah, that’s part of the hitbox. It’s ludicrous.
- Ground of Destruction is incredibly difficult to see because the visual effect hides underneath puddles and stage terrain. This is especially true in Phase 2, where it likes to hide underneath the grass.
These problems compound with this game’s seemingly low server tick, which often kills you when you’re clearly outside the hitbox of the move itself.
Uber Aberroth is a mixed bag, with fun mechanics and questionable execution. The Ground of Destruction Slam is an outlier, though. Dying in the final phase to a flame carpet hiding underneath puddles and lasers in an already tiny arena is highly discouraging. It makes the entire fight feel like a crapshoot, where even good puddle/beam placement can be thrown out the window by a bad Slam and Ground of Destruction.
