My answers, 1) yes, but no 2) no, but yes. 
To elaborate: one of the possible corruption outcomes is getting max rolls on affixes. This doesn’t seal the affixes, it just changes their roll to max. So you’d be able to corrupt to get those rolls and then slam them.
My opinion on this is that the only things you should be able to do with a corrupted item are shatter and sell and nothing else.
Imprints are excluded from this, because with those you’re not actually doing anything to the item itself. Although the fact that you can max roll can also have an impact on this.
And also because we know (kinda, because of datamining) that special affixes like sealed and champion/primordial ones also contribute to the imprint result.
So, for both, I kinda don’t agree because of how corruptions are presented, but I wouldn’t care enough to disagree if they were implemented.
fair you can have a case of want the idea, but think it shouldn’t be possible. an idea being (lets say cool) does not imply its a good idea.

I don’t think you can make polls in the forums at all.
Although it’s not the same, you could have made a feedback (you can still edit and change the category) instead and the number of votes would count as a yay. People would still need to comment for nay, but the devs usually do keep track of these posts, so they’d be aware of it.
That being said, they also pay attention to these types of posts as well, so I don’t think you need to.
btw in a pervious post someone (i think it was u as to why I’m asking here) linked a photo in reply. atm i need to do an imgur link to show pics in a round about way here. is pic posting a default think i don’t know how to access or do u need to be granted permission 2 do that here. sorry if not u and u don’t know.
What I did was simply post a link and the forums directly translated into the picture. Kinda like it also does if you place a youtube link directly in the text, or when you link a thread.
The forum basically tries to translate the link you placed directly in the post as something that can be previewed.
Imgur works kinda weird and won’t do that (and is also blocked in the UK, for some reason). I usually use snipboard.io because I tend to post screenshots, rather than physical image files. And links from that site get previewed automatically by the forum.
