Two QoL suggestions

1- Make picking up items a little easier. I am not sure how this can be accomplished, but in my opinion, you shouldn’t have to stop and click 3-4 times on runes to pick them up because you are not clicking exactly where the rune is. Better yet…
2- Implement some kind of autopick for money and runes/glyphs. Other games feature pets to take care of this task so players can continue running through the dungeons without worrying about crafting mats and money and only checking upgrades to their armor.

On that note, is there a reason why runes/glyphs don’t immediately go to the forge? Is there a reason for the extra step of manually sending them? Maybe the forge has a limit for them? That I am not sure.

Please try the search function on the forums. This has been discussed ad nauseum.

Thanks Makszi, so I did use search and the only thread I found was from 2022. I figured some things may have changed since then even though the devs were dead set on this is not going to happen

I see, yes they are still pretty against the idea.

Here are some other threads you can bump if you feel the need Search results for 'auto pickup' - Last Epoch Forums

Cool, thanks Makszi

“Autopickup” threads are fairly common.

Are you clicking on the ground label, 'cause that has a 100% success rate for me.

Nope. The devs have previously stated that they consider them pseudo-items (even though they’re blatantly crafting currency).

I sometimes have this issue as well. I click on the label, but I’m not sure if it doesn’t detect the hitbox correctly or if it’s detecting some drag & drop motion. Either way, it sometimes doesn’t pick them up immediately for me. But this only happens while trying to click them “on the move”, that is, while I’m walking. If I’m stopped and click on the label, everything is fine.
I just assumed it was bad aim from my part.

Also plenty of threads about this. tldr; this isn’t something the devs are considering at this point, but if they ever did everyone would get a free pet to be able to do this (so not a p2w feature).

LE, the only ARPG where I have this clicking problem.

LOL, yeah, fair question. I am clicking on the ground label. I have to stop and click, sometimes it works and sometimes I think I click just outside the hitbox, so I have to do it a couple of times. On an ARPG though you should not have to stop to pick up crafting materials. I don’t care what they choose to consider them, these are crafting materials.

Some people (me included) may even consider paying for a pet like in other games. You can even get a standard one for free and have others available for those who care about looks. The pet is just one idea though, they could also make it like gold, walk over it and you auto-pick it

This might happen if the community pushes enough, but it’s not something the devs want as explained in several of these threads.
Autotransfer might happen sooner than autopickup.

Yeah, probably affects everyone equally…
I don’t know if it’s just anecdotal, but it seems to “fix” it when I double press alt+z (just z as per my settings) to hide and show all items on the ground. All tootips are rearranged, like stacked together, and it feels like it’s easier to get items then… So I find myself constantly pressing Z between waves to fulfill my anecdotal prophecy XD

I don’t think it’s anecdotal. Or rather, it is anecdotal because it’s based on your personal experience rather than a scientific method. But I do think there’s a basis for your method.

The way it feels to me is that when you click somewhere and the character walks over there, there’s some sort of parallax effect going on. So that many times when you arrive at your destination things have shifted a little.
So if you stack the items, even if the click ends up shifting a little from where you actually click, you are probably still clicking on one of the affixes anyway, so you pick them all up.

That’s what it feels to me, though the answer is probably something different. Either way, stacking closely probably does make it better.

From what I’ve experienced so far, it seems like the tooltips are, most of the time, “out of sync” with the items on the ground. As if they are not exactly above their corresponding item. So when I press Z, it makes them go the where they belong.

It could be the cause for everyone having trouble picking up items while moving, because the tooltip is shown far from the item, so character is moving away from the pick-up range, towards the tooltip.
