1 - the skeletons are really nice, but the bone golem is ugly, not a pleasure to play it. It would be nice to get him a head and a more efficient look (D2 golems were really nice)
2 - the campaign would be much more nice without the “?” help on the map, guiding as right in the good direction every moment for quests. The game lacks the “exporation part” because of that (and maps are really small and linear enough to avoid that). Even better : random maps would be great.
That said : great game, big pleasure to discover and play it ! 18/20 so far (I aim at 20 ^^)
New Bone Golem Model was already teasered at us at a dev stream, not sure when exactly that will make it in.
Currently not on my desktop, so I have limited searching capabilities.
I am sure @AndrewTilley could give you the teaser of it, from his dev stream summary threads.
No. 2
I agree, that having exact quest markers for quests does hurt exploration and makes doing quests a bit more of a brainless task, following the fancy markers on your UI.
But LE is majorly lacking more open areas and optional side areas, to really feel like exploration would be rewarded.
Some semi-hidden dungeon-esq side areas with a guaranteed good chest at the end would probably be something.
Here again it comes down to what each individual player likes because I like that ? which leads me into the right direction. I always hated it in POE to get to a new Zone/Area and run through the entire area to find that waypoint or the entrance to the next area.
Here in LE it leaves me two options: 1. I can kust go for the quest - 2. I can explore the area if I want to.
A very simple solution to satisfy both “playstyles” is to make that ?-maker optional by turning it on or off in the setting ?!
As mentioned, during the May 7th dev Q&A we were teased some concept art of the future Bone Golem. There’s certainly no shortage of options for the dev’s to choose from:
