Transplant - Sticky Blood + Reign of Blood interaction

Transplant’s Sticky Blood node states:

Transplant detonations leave a Pool of Blood for 3 seconds that slows enemies.

Transplant’s Reign of Blood node states:

Transplant creates an additional body that detonates on arrival.

Transplant Passive Tree

With these two allocated, I expected the arrival detonation to create a Pool of Blood.

Expected: Transplant creates a Pool of Blood on arrival.
Actual: Transplant DOES NOT create a Pool of Blood on arrival.
Consistency: 100% of the time.

To reproduce:

  1. Specialize in Transplant, and take the Sticky Blood and Reign of Blood nodes.
  2. Activate Transplant, targeting a location far enough that the visual effect of departure doesn’t overlap with arrival (for clarity purposes).
  3. Observe that a Pool of Blood is only created at the departure site, not arrival.

The Pool of Blood visual blends in with Transplant’s visual effect, so it can be difficult to tell if one was created. However, you can take Transplant’s Siphon node, which heals you when you step on a pool. This makes it more obvious that a pool was created (since walking over it will heal you).


BONUS BUG:
Transplant’s Simulacrum node states:

You leave behind a Bone Minion, which is a temporary melee minion, when you use Transplant, but your previous body no longer detonates. Other detonations still behave normally.

By taking Simulacrum and Sticky Blood, I expected Transplant to NOT create a pool on departure, since Simulacrum disables the departure detonation.

Expected: Transplant does not leave a Pool of Blood on departure.
Actual: Transplant DOES leave a Pool of Blood on departure.
Consistency: 100% of the time.

To reproduce:

  1. Specialize in Transplant, and take the Sticky Blood and Simulacrum nodes.
  2. Activate Transplant, targeting a location far enough that the visual effect of departure doesn’t overlap with arrival (for clarity purposes).
  3. Observe that a Pool of Blood is created at the departure site.

If this is the intended behavior, can the Sticky Blood description be reworded to reflect this? E.g.:

“Transplant leaves a Pool of Blood for 3 seconds where you depart […]”

This should indeed be addressed. It’s either a very annoying bug or the text should be changed as OP suggests.
