It would be nice if we could get a dps counter for the training dummy that would show us for example:
total dps
total dps over the last 4 sec( since ailments by default last 4 sec, right?)
ailment stack number
It would reset after not attacking for a given time.
Right now, I have trouble with calculating my total dps with fast hitting spells like flurry(is the tooltip DPS somewhat accurate? I have noticed that it doesn’t add dps from ailments, but correct me if I am wrong), and since we don’t have detailed statistics for exact skills it is hard to estimate if I want more crit chance or more crit multiplier.
I think it’d be relatively easy to create a third-party tool. Obviously it’d be a lot better if the solution was in game but it might work as a temporary fix now that the game is getting a lot more attention.
The weird thing is the dummy DPS is always like 70% higher than real DPS, which is confusing when you’re trying to plan out a build.
Sort of necroing a thread here, but I think the obvious and easy solution to that would be to have training dummies as level 100 (or scaled to character level) with the applicable reductions built in.
