Trade restrictions are too many and too stringent

The restrictions applied to trade in LE are too much, and have essentially removed any interest I might have had in trading long term.

You can’t trade until you grind out significant faction. Then you can’t trade faction items - a tag that your own crafting system applies. Other items you can’t trade because they have inexplicably been tagged Cannot be traded.

It’s all too controlled and restrictive. If I’m forced through an XP tunnel in order to trade at all, it should be rewarding when I get there, not a bewilderingly truncated and convoluted version of normal trade. And then there’s the bizarrely limited search functionality that makes looking for specific items a time consuming chore.

I don’t know guys, it’s really not an enjoyable experience at all. Bring on the next PoE league, I guess.

I’ll add to it a bit of detail since I’m of the same mind:

Restrictions which are too lenient

Rank 3 access to all uniques is not the right thing to do.
Common uniques, rare uniques, boss uniques and rare boss uniques need to be separate categories.

Idols
Specific idol combinations are build enabling or generally sought after. Putting them all into a single Rank (Rank 4) is not a good choice.

Restrictions which are too severe

Rank 6, 7, 8 are not properly adjusted.

T6 and T7 exalted items need to be separate categories.
Double exalted items need to be different categories… double T6 = T7 similar. T7 + T6 is above T7, double T7 is beyond any other and it should be properly handled by the system.

Uniques fall in the same category. Why solely weapons? That’s a arbitrary choice for a limitation. Handle them according to common, rare, boss-drop, rare boss drop again.

Further the acquisition needs to be split into LP itself. 1 LP sooner, 4 LP vastly later.

Legendaries at Rank 9 and 10.
Same issue. LP 1 common unique legendaries are unreasonably far in the system.
It needs adjustments according to acquisition difficulty and legendary affix amount on it.

Those also need to take into consideration how they’re crafted. T6? T7? none of it? Double exalted affixes? Which Tiers for them?

All of those are details which are very important as they are a different ‘grade’ of rarity and should be handled accordingly.

The same needs to be put into account for favor cost of listing and buying.

This fresh thread through highlights this exact point rather then generalizations or anything else.

Makes it easier to see beyond the argumentation of tons of people going back and forth.

It also makes it look like more people are upset about this than a single thread would.

The only thing that’s valid here is that the search interface needs improvements.

All of the restrictions are not problematic unless you’re trying to play Trade Lord, which isn’t a valid playstyle anyway.
