Is there any official stance on the zone reset every time you portal? It feels horrible honestly and I don’t see any other benefit than just abusing it for target farming specific mobs (if that is a thing).

You mean other than the thread that was in 4th before you posted this? Yes, there have been many posts about it and devs have said it’s not intended and they want to fix it at some point.
It’s not. Their focus for 1.0 is the 2 new masteries & factions
