was it nerfed or nothing changed
Still OP and will prob win the HC SAF Aberoth race
Hi mate! I played torment warlock in this season and manage to reach top 1 arena ladder by the time I was playing:(https://www.lastepochtools.com/profile/FrozenAria/character/dungpham111)
My gear was almost completed and I’ve spent more than 100 hours tested all variation (offhand shield and Wrongwarp). So I just want you to know I’m not wasting time here.
My opinion about the torment warlock is that, it is insanely strong in the early stage of the game and then fall off quickly in the late game. As you push more and more deeper this build will give diminishing return.
The early game is such a dream. You’ll blasted through everything with its ridiculous aoe and damage, killing everything offscreen while you just chilling out. The build actually just need one unique to function and you’ll have no problem scaling to 100 even with no LP gear.
Then as you step into the late game there come the problem. You’ll not doing enough damage and too soft to stay alive. The concept of this build is stacking curse and drop Fissure to deal damage, you’ll then have to solely rely on ward to outlive opponent. In a bunch of big fight I manage to reach 9-10k ward and that’s not nearly enough to survive the late game. The next problem is your single target damage. If you follow the guide and have good knowledge about how torment dmg work you would understand that this build single target dmg is garbage compare to other A tier or even B tier build. This is because they neft the shit out of Immolator which before would give you insane spell damage stack. And I’m not even talking about all the nerf to the passive tree which hurts a lot. About 1k+ corruption or 250 arena+ if you not manage to kill enemies fast then they will kill you, easy.
After month of not playing the game I see that some people manage to surpass me on the ladder but still the concept is the same. If you’re not a hard grinding gamer like me then you might enjoy the class, no problem. But if you want to be over the top then you want to look elsewhere. Have fun mate.
i had very good geared torment lock too i wanted kill the endgame boss but then the dupe glitch hapened and i lost any motivation to continue to play the league
I don’t think so. While its clear is good, Torment doesn’t have the greatest boss damage even with minmaxed gear. Killing Aberroth with basic SSF gear will be rough for it.
Bearing in mind the devs have stated many times that there’s going to be no balance changes (one of the reasons that people are a bit grumpy), it’s going to be exactly as op as it was in 1.1 part 1.
well if it does well on 1k corruption i would be fine with it i see no reason to push any higher but then what actually is op af? what build cuz i been playing torment lock 3 times in row now i want something else
Most OP in term of damage should be the Falconer. I haven’t tried Beastmaster Earthquake yet but heard it was good . Sorcerer have various build that OP in its own way. Necromancer is doing great in arena right now (how do people even reach 1k8 waves???). And the Forge Guard double shield with literally 100k EHP if you want to be a meme. Every class have some nasty stuff to try my friend and don’t let me tell you how to enjoy the game.
As said above, there are quite a few OP builds still.
Rogue has a few of them, including a build that one shots Aberroth (Lethal Mirage).
Sorc also has a few of them, almost all around mana stacking, including frost claw/static orb which also one shots Aberroth.
Necro wraithlord continues to be OP, as is golemancer, bleed hammerdin is also very strong, as is devotion smite. Even warpath forged weapons FG is quite strong as well.
So pick whichever you think you’ll have fun with, chances are there’s a build that will at least be able to kill Aberroth, even if it’s not fast.
After all, even raptor pack can kill Aberroth, and companion builds have the hardest time with him.
EDIT: It should also be noted that while torment warlock isn’t a fast boss killer, Fissure/Shade lock is.
