Developers decided to exclude Vitality for lore reasons, so you cannot swap that.

后期开发者有机会将Vitality互换系统 添加进去吗? 强力建议!

Unfortunately, we have no information if they are planning to enable Vitality swap. But I agree, I think the exclusion of Vitality is arbitrary and pointless.

Well its probably for balance reasons unless they specifically said its for lore reasons.

Vitality can only go on helmet/boots/body.

The swap mechanic lets you actually ignore certain other rules. Mage armor cant have certain stats for example, which I didnt even know until I tried to craft attunement iirc on a mage helmet and it wasnt an option.

So the swap mechanic lets you put stats that otherwise might be blocked onto items.(its extremely niche and a weird restriction on its own frankly)

But yeah, if they let you swap vitality it might open up getting vit on slots they dont want it on, so rather then making some weird rule about “well this ring does not let you put vit on, but other slots do” they just disable vit entirely.

In the original interview they even contradicted themselves in the reasoning given.

“And Vitality isn’t swappable, there’s a lot of reasons for that, but one being … it can already roll everywhere, and there’s only 1-2 skills that as a baseline scale with it. So it’s not like … I don’t wanna say it’s a core attribute, but it’s kind of not when compared to the other four. And we wouldn’t be allowing you to get vitality on bases that it wouldn’t roll normally.”

So the reason is they don’t want you to have vitality on things where it does not roll, but Vitality already rolls everywhere. :clown_face:

I understand it myself! This has become an option that disgusts people! The career that vitality is applicable to is very niche! For example, er attacks require vitality. Developers may not want this career to be too conspicuous! Set a late threshold! But the developers have reduced the BD of this type of career. isn’t the vitality exchange open yet? Vitality is originally one of the many basic attributes!

Vitality can be given in substantial amounts by idols. No other attribute can.

I wholeheartedly agree with DICEDRAGON’s rational analysis. The replacement of basic attributes can be done on equipment that you limit, rather completely abandoning it for the sake of simplicity!!

I agree with you completely. Lore aside, having a single attribute inaccessible using a dedicated mechanic makes it difficult to address in the future. Oerden’s Watch was a very cool introduction, it would be nice to perform it’s function on all attributes and keep the mechanic in one place.

I always thought that what developers should do is to add more creative content to extend the game time, instead of adding thresholds to make players manufacture game time! So I agree with your point! In the allowed equipment bar, replace the Vitality attribute! Instead of completely rejecting it!
