Title-screen latency vs in-game latency. And general connectivity issues

EDIT:

I did some test. Logging in usually typically starts with “ok”-ish ping until I change areas. Here in this video above, you can sese I started with 50ms and immediately went up to 170-190ish after changing areas multiple times. However, it went back to 50-70 when I went back to town hubs (The Council Chambers and Cultist Camp). And it still went fine after going to Shattered Valley coming from Cultist Camp. I think this is more of an RNG. And is it really my internet/connection that has the problem?

Anybody else having this issue? It’s been like this for me since multiplayer was introduced in Last Epoch. And sometimes I login with 30-40ms, then after changing areas, it ramps up to 170-300ms (or sometimes the other way around).

And when playing with a friend, we’ve had instances where I keep getting disconnected whenever I portal to my friend and it kept happening like 5x in a row. I’m not sure if this helped but I’ve had my friend to restart his game.

Have you tried manually selecting a lower ping server?

Hi, yes I always do that. I switched to Asia NE this time and my ping is still around 170 after changing areas. And also “my internet is fine” like every other people having connectivity issues. lol. Though, I don’t even know if there’s a way to test LE servers, like pinging it to see if I have packet loss or something.

Fair enough, there’s certainly an issue between you & the servers. If in doubt, report it via the in game bug report tool.

I’m certain it’s much worse since 1.2. It’s normally around lightblue to yellow latency bar when I was actively playing during Harbingers or Ruin update and was rarely at the red zone except loading screen times felt much longer before.

Thanks, I will go ahead and do that.
