Time Rift "wormhole" is bad on the eyes/gives headaches

Hello my fellow Beta testers.
I would like to give some feedback on the Time Rift(s):

  • This section of the game interaction needs to be addressed. The visual effect is rough on the eyes and may cause motion sickness for a lot of viewers. I have streamed this game to help promote an up and coming new game to my audience. And I have received a number of complaints about the effects of the Time rift from my viewers. As a suggestion possibly snapshots of the eras you pass thru may be more beneficial. Instead of the constant animation of the time travel effect that may cause seizures, nausea, motion sickness, and or more.
  • I normally help with Beta testing for a number of games and give an honest and fair feedback for the game. But after playing this game in various hours of the day/night to have all lighting on to ensure my feedback is accurate. Just from the Time Rift effect I would not stream this game to ensure I’m looking out for the community’s safety.

In closing the game so far is interesting and has room to grow to be great I truly believe this Time rift effect either needs to be changed as suggested or to possibly some other alternate way to by pass the cutscene.

Get the same that’s why I check my phone or sip on my drink while this is happening. I would be happy with a loading screen where the bar fills if you go ahead in time or get empty if you travel back in time ^^.

Welcome to the forum btw have a good time!

I almost always look away from the screen when that animation is happening and I am simply bothered by the animation and it is not inducing any motion sickness. But every it’s there I think of those people who could be mildly or seriously affected by it.
It doesn’t even seem to be a loading screen as there is a loading screen after this animation (unless it already starts with it).
Anyways, I support changing or removing the current one.

im not having sickness by it but i find it annoying to look at, i’d vote for a remove and utilize a static loading screen (if that is used as apposite of a loading screen) if its used just as a eye candy i would remove it completely

I’m always starring at the screen, because I expect a direction change. Like in Stargate. But never happened. Always going up… Like doing a looping.

I’d love to have a loading screen that blends the background of your character and alters it so you can see the change of the map through time. This would be really cool.

But I think this might be a bit complicated to do.

A short clip of a landscape altering would also be very cool.

The easiest thing would be to make it skippable (is that the correct word?) when it occurs or add a toggle in the options menu.

I like the animation and the idea behind it, but usually look away from my screen during it because for some reason it is uncomfortable to watch.
