Tier question

New player here, currently level 73 grinding through the monoliths looking for usable gear. What tier of gear do yall set as your minimum? I have t3 set at the moment but it seems like I’m getting too much useless gear even with filters. Also, is there a way to filter items with only one afflix? I usually pick up blues and i know you can tell how many prefixes or suffixs they have by the dots but I’d like to just remove anything below two if I can. Thanks.

It really depends on how far my build already evolved, but usually by the end of the story i set up the filter to T4 for early monolith and T5 for 2nd or 3rd timeline.

Sadly there are no optimal ways to very strictly filter items.
One easy solution for magic items at least:
Do a hide rule for magic items, with ALL undesired affixes.
If you put a usual recolor/show rule for desired affixes below that, you will only see magic items with 1 or 2 desired affixes and never one with 1 desired and 1 undesired affix.
You then only need to not bother with the 1 affix magics items at all and just ignore them.

I would not recommend this for rare though, because a 3 desried affixes 1 undesired affixes will get hidden, which is not very good. Even though it would be a super strict filter.

Here is an example.
Example Magic Items.xml (5.1 KB)

I basically did recolor all desired affixes and hide ALL other affixes.
Put the hide rule above the recolor rules and just add a item rarity condition for magic items.
This way EVERY magic item that drops will be 100% only desired affixes. So you eitehr don’t need to bother with rune of removal or if you entirely ignore 1 affix items, you will have 2 desired affix magic items, which are the best crafting bases.

Another thing to generally make your loot filter alot more strict, would be a hide rule for base types you 100% will never use:
Like certain weapon types (like shields or scepters etc.)

Cool, thanks for the info. One more question, is it worth it time wise to actually full clear zones for monolith or is it most efficient to just kill on the path to the boss?

So the chest at the end does scale with the mobs killed within an echo.
It is a noticeable difference, if you clear alot, compared to just rush through and kill the objective.

Backtracking or “exploring” the whole level however is not worth the time.
So kill as much as possible on your way to the objective, without major detours.

If you have a solid build that can easily handle high echoes, i would also say just rush the objectives for the first echoes and when you reach echo 10, 15 or 20+, you can start clearing alot.

Clearing the whole echo really does make a difference, when you gathered up a bunch of modifiers. You can easily reach 150%-200%+ Item Rarity.

If you just wanna “progress” through the monolith to just kill the boss, going quickly by just doing the objective is also fine.
But for later endgame farming you can definitely consider clearing alot in higher echoes.
