Currently there are no weapons with implicits that support throwing attacks (which at the moment is only Shield Throw & Hammer Throw for the Sentinel), I’m assuming that the Rogue will have a more traditional ranged attack with appropriate itemisation (bows, xbows possibly something else) but it would be nice to see something for the Sentinel.
Given that it only affects 2 skills I would therefore suggest that ~3 new weapon items are created with implicits that benefit the Sentinel’s throwing attacks. A low (lvl 5+), medium (30+) & high (50+) level item base. I would probably call them/it throwing axe (so that it’s not too confused with the skills, so not throwing hammer) or possibly a javelin, make them one-handed so you can use them with a shield (or DW when that’s implemented).
I’m not sure what the implicits should be, probably something “boring” such as throwing attack damage or throwing attack speed, but it’d be nice if there were some more interesting implicits that could be created.
This also segues into what type of attacks the Rogue’s ranged attacks (for the Marksman mastery) are going to be called. If it’s going to be a bow/xbow attack, I don’t think it makes sense for it to be called a throwing attack but that would mean creating a 5th skill type (spell, melee, minion, throwing & whatever Rogue’s are going to be, presumably ranged) & IMO it doesn’t really add much value for there to be so many different types of skill.
TLDR -
- Please can we have a 1-handed weapon with implicits that support Shield/Hammer Throw
- How are the Rogue’s ranged attacks going to be treated as a skill type (melee/spell/throwing/minion/etc)?
