POE2 crash out is LEs big chance. As long the LE patch is good and gets good word of mouth this is huge opportunity to poach POE2 players who never would have considered LE.
tbh i think EHG should just speed up the release to this friday or even today
Poe 2 is not a direct competitor to LE anymore, as it went to different direction from classic APRGs and mostly appealing to other players. Gap in Poe 1 leagues is what is working good for LE. Since everything supposedly ready to LE 1.2 launch, I think that launching it this weekend wouldnât be too bad, not sure if there is reason to wait longer. I donât know much about what most streamers are thinking about Poe 2 though, some of them are enjoying it and might not join this week, but probably will check LE soon enough anyway.
Itâs going to be fun.
Concerned the POE2 crowd is going to slam LE for being too easy. It does take a good amount of time to get to any real challenges.
Yeah, thatâs the reason Iâm not sure if i want to try LE. I remember long boring campaign and then long farming monoliths to increase level of corruption, and after all of that it might be not even fun for me. Especially because I absolutely love this patch of Poe 2 and if endgame will be fine, not as zooming as in 0.1, probably I will just stick with it.
You love this patch for POE2 and youâre worried about a long boring campaign? You donât need LE, you need therapy.
Just teasing bro. I hear ya, I donât like the monoliths either but I still have 602 hours played.
Obviously, LE campaign doesnât feels anything like POE2 campaign.
Also, since you are recommending therapy if I love Poe 2 campaign, I guess I can recommend trying to strength your intellect somehow if you like to zoom. Just teasing bro.
100% agree! EHG, canât wait for your patch. Feel free to release sooner ;).
They canât ârelease soonerâ now theyâve announced april 17th, weâve gotta be patient.
To be honest, Iâm not sure that many people from POE 2 will jump ship AND like what LE is all about, they are really different games and the complexity most people enjoy in POE isnât in last epoch, itâs an easier game by many metrics and big challenge comes after quite some time.
Weâll see, Iâm eager to read the patch notes on the 11th.
I think people are overestimating PoE2âs âcrash outâ.
What we have is a very vocal minority of PoE1 streamers. One that likes to blast and is disappointed PoE2 doesnât let them do that.
But the numbers so far donât support that. Theyâve had 230k-250k peaks so far every day, which was about the expected number, when you consider that about 50-60% of players that join a new game never finish it and leave.
If it really was the crash out everyone is saying it is, youâd have 230k-250k in the first day and under 200k in the next days, which isnât the case.
PoE2 needs to fix a bunch of stuff, but thatâs why theyâre still in EA and trying to figure things out.
And, like ExServ said, the target playerbase for both games are different. Weâll see how many players LE will actually pull from PoE2.
I just think maybe we also overestimate how important is that everyone would start LE at the same time. If people will start week earlier, others week later, it probably doesnât matter much, and forcing people to wait maybe just donât worth it. Some people want to play it already, I would let them, I just donât see solid reason why not. Though probably would start at weekend.
Mostly because you need to prepare a launch. Theyâre still doing 2 more hype interviews, they still need to release patch notes (in 4 days) and players need enough time to go through them.
Also because of twitch drops timing.
Oh, right, it make sense. Launch without hyping interviews would feel a little different I guess.
Just wait for GGGs patch 2 days before the LE season when they patch back the fun into their game ^^. We have a little bet going on in my friendgroup and so far Iâm the only one who thinks GGG will pull off something like this.
PoE 2 is fine depending on build. Most though suck currently, simply said.
Galvanic Merc still works really well. Minion campaign is atrocious, huntress campaign is also atrocious because of dumb overall design.
Some others are decent. Drop-rates suck major, gameplay is decent.
I would say completely the opposite Imho, huntress might be the only class which doesnât care about too fast monsters because of the parry mechanic. And she has very powerful combos. I love her design.
You mean the parry mechanic which gets steadily interrupted because the huntress tree is on the ranged side and melee investment needs heavy investment into âemptyâ nodes to achieve first? While not having any meaningful defenses (evasion itself is a equalizer with a guaranteed death-state plainly spoken by itself) to support the melee style?
Have to disagree there, especially nonsensical form GGG is the buff to ranged attack speed which already has mana issues⌠leading only to having no mana earlier and defaulting back to auto attacks⌠which btw. outside of circumstancial combos is the core DPS carrier for the huntress currently.
Not sure what you mean. I am using this passive tree, didnât invest a single nod yet into âonly meleeâ or âonly projectileâ, so almost every node increases both melee and ranged damage. Huntress look perfect for combining melee and ranged, as was planned by GGG.
It feels very easy to avoid approaching stun threshold, but if you want to invest into it, there are bunch of passive nodes avaliable at the huntress section of the tree, even at the very beginning, so itâs easy to spec into it. Also evasion increases it too, and you can easily invest into evasion if you prefer. Because while you are parry, you can âevadeâ which just mitigates increase in stun threshold.
Idk, I have these defense stats, feels more than enough for me Considering double dash and parry.
But mana cost was reduced accordingly to that buff.
The only thing Iâm missing is locking weapon so I would be able to switch between âspear + shieldâ and âspear + 25% more skill speedâ. Right now even with second spear, I canât switch because Iâm using normal attacks and they are linked with specific spear.
Youâre majorly investing into attack speed first and foremost, so mana sustain being an issue along the way.
I canât imagine your build feeling good overall unless you use a large portion of auto-attacks rather then skills or got a fairly decent spear drop early on which is carrying you through.
As for the stun threshold, itâs harder to avoid then in 0.1, albeit itâs been changed with the hotfix again to a degree at least. Evasion does not increase stun threshold, it makes it so you get hit less often, thatâs all. This is simply a wrong information.
Those are⌠atrocious all around! -30 res? Nearly no cold res? Evasion is low too, armour non-existent, life is also not high (but thatâs expected during campaign). You went full glass cannon simply.
Wasnât it implemented that you can switch singular pieces now? So keeping the same spear while only switching the shield? If I remember right that was something GGG did, dunno though since itâs not a mechanic Iâll be likely to use soon-ish at all, havenât looked into it.
If you increase evasion, you can parry more hits without being stunned. So it kind of does.
Feels great though. No, I didnât find any especially OP spears, itâs not necessary. I mostly using spears with frenzy charges for dealing damage, I donât spam spears, so have no mana issues at all. I want some attack speed just for auto-attacks, helps to generate frenzy charges and dealing melee damage.
Yes, and it still not a problem for me, itâs very easy to avoid hits with her mobility and parry. I could pay attention to res on my gear, add sockets etc, but for leveling, I just donât feel like spending time on it, it feels quite easy and will change equipment in the end-game anyway.
Almost, they said they barely didnât finish it in time. Promised to add soon, waiting for it. Will have even more dynamic gameplay after they add it.
