This game is dead

I was thinking to reply ith a snarky and very long answer. Then i rethought that and say this:

Currently Last Epoch is probably the only ARPG out there that caters the playerbase instead of following internal, mostly money driven visions of something that might be profitable but basically turns everything else into another job instead of delivering an enjoyable gaming environment for the customers.

So i pretty much disagree with everything you said - and believe me i am everything but a FanBoi

Funny you mention grim dawn, then fail to realize that even that game has more players than LE.

Yes, LE has potential, but bug’s that last years, development time 2-4x longer than competitors, and a weak end game is just a poison pill too strong to swallow. Yeah, they’ll plod along for another year at least, but if the next season doesn’t do better people won’t bother anymore

if an old topic like this can be brought back to life, then even a dead game can be necro’d

That is a very biased way of looking at it. It currently has more daily players than LE for the last 10 days or so after having vastly less for more than a month.

Not that you can compare the playercount and retention rate of a single player game with a seasonal game.

This is no different from the hundreds of similar threads in the PoE forums (or even in CS2, despite the millions of daily players) over the years, and is as accurate as those have been.
