So, With that said. This game does have a fundamental flaw or two.
Point 1.
I have played this game now for 250+ Hrs in under 2 weeks. That is 17 Hrs / Day, Lets put that in to perspective, 1,020 Minutes a day. Yet with all this āgameā time, nothing of real significant value has even dropped or showed up, the most valuable item for me and my builds that has ever dropped so far is a 3LP Random unique. this amount of invested time is not somthing that everyone has, I have taken some time off to play this game because i love this game and enjoy it to heeeell and back. But you game designers have made this game way to hard for not just the average player but the middle man aswell. to get anywhere you need to play atleast 17 hrs a day or be extremly lucky, I am speaking for the people that play this game for just āfunā or pass the time during the day while doing the laundry or those who want to invest a few hrs during the weekend.
These players have no chance in hell to complete a viable decent character that preforms to any of the standards of any decent content clearing upwards and above 500+ Corruption. i am currently sitting on 2357 corruption solo, and I am not even seeing any increase or any point of this corruption pushing as above 300 + corruption nothing changes except difficulty scaling thats it, you dont get a āhigherā chance to find more t6 or t7 then you do on 2300+. there for this needs overlooking and retuning and scaling.
Point 2.
You need to have a dynamic ever evolving changing of fixes and bugs, there is several players out there taking advantage of bugs and exploits to gain āfameā that isnt deserved, or even respect worthy, its dishonering the players who put in honest hard work in to grinding from 100 to lets say 1000 corruption with blood sweat and tears and 2 minutes later they find out someone has a bugged build and nothing is going to be done about it ābecause, just wait untill next seasonā that brings the player to the justification that they need to reroll and play this meta sweaty big boyy pants bug build because some random player decided to break the game, You need to utilize your team of devs and implement fixes and bugs over the entire course of the games lifespan no matter if it is start of the season/cycle or end, or the middle of it, It is a competetive aspect of the game that brings people to play cycle and also the fun that it brings because of the variants of difference that it brings to the table. What you are promoting now with your direct comments from your developers is that " We do not care about our player base nor its competetive aspect " Fix it.
I spotted your flaw. Nobody is supposed to be walking into 500+ corruption. If they are something is out of balance.(Yes i know there are a few builds doing this and they will be addressed next cycle).
you understand that the game was made much harder upon 1.0 release form early access? A 500 Corruption build is vastly harder than what was tested in the early access. That would be comparable to about 900 corruption in test with none of the broken builds available. A feat that few if any could have accomplished.
The far end game will come with time just like in PoE. Do you think PoE launched as a fully formed game? The game was barely playable on launch with few things to do as end game content. It took them a decade to get to the point they are at now and LE isnāt that far behind them.
For me the error here is very simple, as in D3 the game aims to kill the player. However, killing a player is RIDICULOUSLY simple, just 1 line of code. HOWEVER, entertaining players is MUCH more difficult. And the truth is that this game is empty and they create these ādifficultiesā that are not difficult at all, they are just HUGE waste of time, they are barriers to progress to make the player stay longer and longer so as not to see how empty the game is.
BUT people ALWAYS emerge capable of overcoming this, and this is what peopleās despair with the lock and falc builds is, they do everything very quickly, and since everything else is a waste of time they are dominating the game
EHG can satisfy casual players or die hard player.
They cannot satisfy casual players who want die hard level loots.
You get what you farm (plus a bit of luck).
Farming is broken, it doesnt work. read above lines again, I sink 235 hrs in to farming alone and 2300+ corruption. Yet not a single 4LP item. 17 hrs a day / average for 14 days. Tell me how this is a good rate for farming :)?
I think you misunderstand what the people just playing for fun actually want out of this game. I didnāt play before 1.0 and have sunk ~50 hours into it since. I think of myself as a reasonably casual player, but thatās still a pretty decent chunk of playtime for 2 weeks.
I am having fun with the game and donāt care in the slightest about the points youāve raised. If anything it feels like too much loot drops sometimes, I donāt care about the loot, I just want to kill stuff. I made up my own build, gear up as I go (some research into what stats are important) and am enjoying myself. Almost finished normal monoliths.
I have no goal to push high corruption or arena. I have no goal to find my āBiSā gear, I donāt even know what my āBiSā gear would be! I just want to have fun, kill mobs and slowly move forward.
So you dont want the chance to get a 4lp item and feel powerful? cause this game makes you play like your life depends on it if you even want anything close.
For me its about finding the good stuff to feel rewarded for the content i do, and thats what i feel this game does badly.
Depending on what you are farming for to have 4 LP on it that might not even be possible. What did the database say was the % chance to drop for the item you are looking for with 4LP on it?
