There were 2 nerfs to COF. and they didnt cause server issues

  1. Experience tomes no longer doubled
  2. Arena keys sell for 10x less.

No, I’m not tryna compete with MG. I dont even care if EHG nerfs or doesnt nerfs builds. But be consistent. Cause COF nerfs didnt cause servers to crash.

PS: i still love Last Epoch

Yeah, while it’s not terribly upsetting, the perk does say “Chance at double rewards”, and not “Chance at double item rewards”.

That’s true. I’m surprised too since MG is superior to COF in so many ways.

Granted COF is supposed to be the items faction and not the exp/gold faction…it still doesn’t matter. I wonder what ways the devs want us to farm gold. As MG I can sell items, but when it comes to actually farming the gold, its super slow. A gold monolith or wealth shrine gives like 15-20k on 400+ corruption.

This inconsistency is my primary issue with this whole topic. They’re not “taking a stance” if that so-called stance is thrown out the window on literally same patch that contains balance changes. There are also other balance changes that happened during the cycle, like Advent of the Erased.

The more annoying part is that CoF-only players are affected by this nerf (even if it is not a big deal) only because MG players were abusing the faction switch.

What inconsistency? They said they don’t want to rebalance items and skills mid-cycle, things that would directly affect character builds and their power level - except for things that cause instabilities. They never said “we will never make any sort of changes to the game that could affect an aspect of gameplay balance mid-cycle”, which would be ridiculous long-term.

The real solution would be to have MG rep create MG currency, in the same way that CoF does. And that is what is spent in the bazaar. Leave the ability to buy stash tabs out of the equation, completely, and have each faction be about different ways to obtain items.

So of these 2 things, which was(is) turning more players away from the game, and causing a flood of negative reviews:

  1. Arena keys selling for 6575 gold
  2. Bugs with Ward interactions that are leading to way higher amounts being generated, and far greater levels of corruption and arena being conquered?

Which one of these is going to have a longer-lasting negative affect on the game?

I know which half of that post is drunk, because the Arena Keys thing was an MG nerf (or rather, forcing MG to run a CoF character for gold, nerf)

The XP tomes I agree on, but understand if it was giving unfair race advantage for first level 100. They could have said so if this was the case though.

I would say the server issues already made that a non-starter. Unless you are suggesting they wipe everyone, and start from scratch, now that the majority of the stability issues are taken care of?

I’m suggesting that besides making it easier to get to Rank 10 once you’re level 100, it would have been an unfair advantage in the next cycle. From a structural PoV, it makes sense why they would remove it.

It’s not consistent with their current stance on the Profane Veil bug, but atleast it’s (in my opinion) halfway to the correct outcome.
