If I play on my couch with a controller there is no way to use the egg with Nemesis. If I play on my steamdeck it STILL doesnt work but i can use the touchscreen.
If you play on controller, open the egg, click replace and open the stash tab you get a prompt when you hover over an item with an option: (Y) insert item into the egg. If you click that button, it doesn’t insert it into the Nemesis window but it equips that item to your character.
It absolutely baffles me that NOBODY is talking about this, am I the only one playing with a controller?
Iffy? It’s not iffy…it’s just NOT working with a controller. The tooltip says you can insert it but that just won’t work. Having to use a mouse basically saying you cannot just use a controller…
You need to understand, that you can switch between Menus with the LT and RT Buttons (the big triggers). LT to go one menu to the left, RT to go one menu to the right.
If you click on “Replace” under a Nemesis Egg, a middle menu opens up. Navigate to it using the D-Pad, highlight the empty slot and press A once, to tell the game you wanna put something inside the slot. THEN you can navigate to your inventory (or your Stash Menu, if you opened it with the Stash Button), hover over an item and press Y (the default binding for equipping something - it will have a Tooltip Entry called “Nemesis Slot”).
Very unintuitive behaviour, can’t blame you for not figuring that one out.
I use the SteamDeck, so your button layout might vary.
Yes I knew about the LT/RT buttons for the menus. However, just hovering over an item won’t do it. It will say press Y to insert in nemesis slot but that won’t work. Apparently (as one of the above commenters said), you actually have to navigate through the items and not just hover over it. I will try that tonight and see if that solves it :).
I do hope they somehow fix this and make it much more intuitive!
