The VK's endless mana

Hi,

I am just curious about void well/essences in the VK tree. If you want to play Warpath then firstly the conversion to void has more damage and then secondly it allows you to spin forever. It’s the same for erasing strike apart from tiny mana stalls. I mean, I don’t know any pally or FG builds where you can spin forever?

Multistrike - spec’ing into the more swords / extra mana cost using VK is awesome, you don’t run out of mana when fighting bosses. Other classes I tried, can’t do this.

Hammerthrow - you can spec into hammers/0 mana or you can use Void Aura and essences.

See where I’m going? Just curious why the other builds don’t have some kind of option for mana to be able to play these builds and have more fun.

VK tree is outstanding. It has insane leech. It has damage reduction / void damage reduction. It has strenght. It has a lot of health and vitality. it has a BIG penetration node. It has the biggest attack speed/throwing speed node of the 3 classes. It’s got the most flat crit and more damage nodes. It’s got move speed nodes.

FG tree has… well, not sure.

Pally is pretty good but yarrrrr she’s no VK.

I just don’t get? ESPECIALLYYYYYYYYYY the mana thing. Void damage has the best idols too, HUGEEEEEEEE idol stats compared to the others.

I just do not get it.

I think the Forge Guard tree is just old. Forged Weapons is a subskill of an attack skill. Beastmaster doesn’t do that, nor the Necro.

It has Shield Throw, along with two other base throwing attacks, but no real support for throwing attacks (none of the trees really have that support) and no natural way of summoning the Forged Weapons if going the throw path.

That without mentioning the mana issue. Spellblade has a cool way of getting mana, so does VK.

The funny part is that shield throw was the go to for FG with lava burst / two hander but now that bleed and timerot are here its pally for bleed which can get up to 10k bleeds on a dummy and timerot voidknight so again FG is goneeeeee~ but you’re right about throwing attacks in general. I love sentinel in general but it’s just so uneven and then you see it in character played stats too. I am so sure they did a FG rework last year sometime when I was sort of new to the game, I’d hate to have seen it before this - I remember its when they added 2hander and shield yet they’ve gimped it out to a tiny amount more dps than 1 handers and 0 multipliers so its really just a cool looking gimic :frowning:
