The updates to the bazaar are good, but it has a LONG way to go

First, I want to say that EHG have done a great job of updating the bazaar. The new search functionality that lets us choose the tier and/or value range of basic modifiers is fantastic.

However, the bazaar has a long, long way to go before I’d consider it to be a functional, release-tier feature. Right now, it honestly feels like a feature that’s still in an early beta.

Here’s a few things that really need to be on the roadmap.

  1. Unique items have unique modifiers, and those modifiers have value ranges. Either get rid of the RNG on the unique modifiers, or figure out how to let us search by the displayed value ranges (I understand that these modifiers are a combination of underlying value ranges that we can’t actually see, but we still need to be able to search by the value ranges of these affixes).

  2. The way we claim gold from sold items is really, really stupid. Sorting my auctions by when I posted them, forcing me to scroll through multiple pages of already-claimed auctions to find the associated item that was sold since I last claimed my items is really bad. Just give us a “claim all” option or sort by most recently sold instead of when the auction was posted. As an aside, there is very dubious value of seeing the list of items we’ve sold, 3 to a line. Subpoint: let us just claim the gold from anywhere. Having to be at the bazaar to claim the gold is nonsense.

  3. There needs to be some price check feature built into the game. You guys are going to have to just figure out a way to either build a trade site (or give us an API so that we can build build a trade site) so we can easily search for and price check items we find.

  4. The posting interface is literally giving me an RSI. Give us a way to mass-post items, or combine the auction posting functionality with the aforementioned price check functionality and suggest a sales price when we enter the item into the list window.

Again, the changes that were made for the mid-cycle reset are overwhelmingly positive, and I appreciate them a lot - but as of right now, despite the fact that I’d rather be playing Merchant’s Guild, I’m probably going to end up switching to CoF and then getting frustrated that I can’t drop the specific uniques that I need and quitting the game until the next cycle purely because the bazaar is implemented so poorly.
